Nigeria Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh was elated after touching down at the Julius Nyerere Airport in Dar Es Salaam perhaps for the fact that he will be managing the Eagles in his first ever competitive match since taking over from Stephen Keshi.

Upon touchdown the Legend in his cool, calm and collected demeanour did not shy away from greeting and mingling from the battery of journalists and fans who has thronged the airport awaiting the team arrival which was delayed.

Oliseh sought to calm down nerves smiling and shaking hands dressed in an impeccable suit as the team headed to their hotel the Hyatt Regency.

While speaking to supersport.com Oliseh acknowledged that he expected a tough game from the Tanzanians whom he described as a good side but in the same breath pointed out that they had come for the three points.

"I am delighted to be in Tanzania the game on Saturday will be my first competitive match and as a coach you want nothing short of victory but that is not to say it will be a walk in the park since our opponents have been training together for a long time"

"I expect a tough and tight game from the Tanzanians but we have to work hard as a team to maintain the traditions of Nigeria that's why this match will be really important to us as it will determine how we move to the next step" Oliseh told supersport.com as the team rather tired from the long trip departed to their hotel.

Asked about the absence of John Obi Mikel coach Oliseh tactically avoided the question instead responding that he had brought with him a very good side that could deliver anywhere.
