President Mohammadu Buhari has said that the ongoing economic reforms in the country are designed to restore business confidence and block leakages and wastage of public resources.

This was revealed by the twitter handle of the Spacial Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Sheu,where the president addressed leading French businessmen and investors at the headquarters of the Movement of the Enterprises of France on Tuesday.

President Buhari who is on a three-day visit to France stated that there is much more to Nigerian economy than oil and that the present administration is determined to consolidate on industrializing and diversifying the economy.

"We are also focused on the recovery of stolen wealth belonging to the country,” the President added.

He reaffirmed his government's determination to curb corruption in Nigeria, adding that one of the key objectives of his administration's ongoing economic reforms is to sustain the country’s position as number one investment destination in Africa.
