D'banj and Don Jazzy
The Eko Hotel venue of 2Face Idibia’s 40th birthday celebration was thrilled as the audience went wild when 2Face requested D’Banj and Don Jazzy to settle their scores and come back.
And if everything goes well with the intervention of the legendary Idibia, the Kokomaster may soon join his old pal, Don Jazzy for a chartbuster.
At the FORTYfied event, D’banj performed a leaked version of a song he did with 2face ‘I’m Feeling Good’ which was produced by former label mate and partner Don Jazzy.
The Kokomaster brought back old memories which forced 2face to plead on behalf of the fans and for the sake of people looking up to them to make one more hit song together. As he put it, ‘Don Jazzy and D’banj, abeg make una do one more song, just one…. I take God beg una’ 2face pleaded.”
D’banj in response said ‘Sure! It’s going to happen’. Although Don Jazzy didn’t respond to the plea. The rumours about the possible comeback started following D’Banj’s interview a few months back with Olisa on The Truth, when he was asked who really broke up Mo’Hits.
This was followed by Don Jazzy’s shout out to D’Banj on the latter’s birthday, then D’Banj dedicating his Evolution Award to Don Jazzy at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) in South Africa. Now legendary 2Face Idibia has made his own call for the return of the Kokomaster and ‘It’s Don Jazzy Again.’
D’Banj and Don Jazzy were present at the event when 2Face expressed his desire to see them produce a new joint together, declaring that he was a big fan of the duo. D’Banj on his part opted to perform one of his songs that was leaked a few years ago, ‘I’m Feeling Good’ produced by Don Jazzy, featuring 2Face.
