Scores dead as female suicide bombers hit Maiduguri

Scores of people were killed and many injured on the country Independence anniversary when female suicide bombers sneaked into Sageri, a community in Maiduguri Borrno State and detonated bombs.

This is coming a week after the bombers launched their attack on Ajilari outskirt of Maiduguri, killing about 100 people.

The multiple explosions in Sageri and Ajilari occurred simultaneously at about 7:30p.m., after which men of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army, responded with their artillery fire power.
