Senator from Bayelsa East Senatorial District under Peoples Democratic Party, Ben Murray-Bruce has advocated for idealistic politics rather than partisan politics.
He said while reacting to the screening of ministerial nominees that the society should raise its thoughts beyond political parties now to ideology.
He said, “To me, Ben Murray Bruce, It does not matter if the ministerial nominee is APC or PDP as long as they can deliver the goods.
Its height of mental laziness to reject ideas because its from APC/PDP person. Does a sick man reject a cure because his doctor is PDP/APC?”
He posited that Nigeria should move away from leadership by geography to leadership by competence.
