Lagos Assembly Confirms Ambode’s 37 Commissioners, SAS

After a week of scrutiny which began on October 5 and ended October 9, 2015, the Lagos State House of Assembly Screening Committee on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s nominees for commissioners submitted its report.

Presenting the report on Thursday, the Chairman of the committee, Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun said that all the 37 nominees showed up for the screening with copies of their Curriculum Vitae and credentials verified.

This was followed by physical appearance of the nominees on Tuesday 13, October, 2015, where they were requested to speak about their background and their experiences with the committee.

Meanwhile at its plenary on Thursday the house confirmed the 37 cabinet nominees of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

The Speaker of the House, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, subsequently ordered the Clerk of the House, Mr. Segun Abiru to send a letter to the Governor indicating that the nominees had been confirmed by the House.
